Sydney & Surroundings
Sydney is located on a huge harbor, one of the most beautiful in the world. Each day sees a mix of ferries, cruise ships, yachts of every size and fishing boats making their way to and fro. The magnificent homes of the 'rich and famous' overlook these activities and the ever present Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House provide a stunning backdrop. There are also many fascinating experiences within a short driving distance of Sydney to be enjoyed including the Blue Mountains and Hunter Valley Wine Region.
Choose from the following
Sydney, The City
Without doubt the state capital of Sydney is one of the world's most exciting and cosmopolitan cities. 'Sydneysiders' love good food and wine, they love sailing on their magnificent harbour, supporting their local sports teams and participating in the entertainment opportunities that are such an integral part of their cultural landscape. It's a vibrant and confident city, and for those who need a break, wonderful beaches, rivers and bushlands are right on their doorstep for all to enjoy. If night life appeals there is always a local or visiting musical or play to enjoy and the Opera House has its own program of world class entertainment on offer throughout the year.

See a performance at The Sydney Opera House
This is one of the most famous buildings in the world and a powerhouse of the performing arts in Australia. The design and impact of this building confirms the vision and genius of controversial Danish architect Jorn Utzon who at one stage in 1966 prior to completion of the project famously resigned his position. If you select this option we will arrange a one hour guided tour that explains the colorful history of the Opera House, followed by dinner and then tickets to a performance of your choice. Costs vary according to performance selection.

Indulge in a Romantic Sydney Harbor Dinner Cruise
A dinner cruise of Sydney Harbor aboard Sydney's flagship MV Sydney 2000 is a very special experience and a must for visitors to Sydney. The dining experience offers elegant a la carte dining. There is live music, dancing and upper deck seating for all who take the dinner cruise. The lights of the city and the homes of the surrounding bays provide a stunning backdrop to a romantic evening never to be forgotten.
From $74 USD per person

Take a Deep Breath - Do The Bridge Climb
This is an opportunity to walk to the highest point on Sydney Harbor Bridge, which at over 1000 feet offers breathtaking views of Sydney Harbor and the city. Since the climb was launched in 1992 over 2 million people, including actors Will Ferrell, Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, musician Keith Urban and many other stars have taken the1439 steps to the top of The Bridge to be a part of this exhilarating experience. A highlight of any Sydney visit.
From $242 USD per person

Cruise The Hawkesbury River with the Riverboat Postman
In 1790 the Hawkesbury River, just over an hour north of Sydney was a lifeline of trade between the farming communities and the struggling colony of Sydney. Now the Riverboat Postman provides the daily needs of today's river community, providing mail, milk and groceries; and you can join them as they make their deliveries. Sit back, relax and absorb the wonderful scenery as you travel from settlement to settlement. The skipper provides a knowledgeable commentary on the colourful history and many features of the river. The service takes between 3 and 4 hours to complete.
From $49 USD per person

Flightseeing with Sydney Seaplanes
For those wishing to treat themselves to the absolute highlights of Sydney's famous coast and waterways the 30 minute "Sydney Secrets" seaplane flight is a must! Your pilot will point out the famous beaches along the route, including Manly, Curl Curl, Avalon and the iconic Palm Beach where Australia's favourite soap "Home and Away" is filmed. Return to the Harbour via Pittwater and be amazed at the number of boats grouped around the nooks and crannies of this picturesque waterway. The sedate, high wing beaver aircraft is perfect for still or video photography.
From $155 USD per person, minimum of two required

Join the Sunlovers at Bondi Beach
A visit to Sydney is not complete without a visit to iconic Bondi Beach, the most well known beach in Australia and located just a 15 minute drive from the city center. We recommend an early start to the day and breakfast at one of the many sidewalk cafes that overlook the beach. Watch the passing parade of children off to school, surfers heading out to catch a wave, those wanting to catch some sun and those just wanting to be seen. After breakfast enjoy the excellent coastline walking track to other bays on the coast and a swim 'between the flags'.

Discover the Splendor of The Blue Mountains
To experience this region in depth and to enjoy some special experiences off the beaten track we recommend you enjoy a full day guided mini-coach Eco Tour. Visit ancient Aboriginal sites and the unusual plants and wildlife that abound the area. Skirt around Cliff Drive to Katoomba to look out over the magnificent Jamieson Valley and the famous Three Sisters. Enjoy a delicious barbecue lunch, with fine Australian wines and cheeses under the canopy of the Australian bush. Afterward, visit a hidden valley to seek out the many kangaroos that graze in the wild (no feeding of wild animals is permitted).
From $242 USD per person

Relax at Port Stephens & The Hunter Valley Wine Growing Region
A two-hour drive north of the city is Australia's oldest and arguably best known wine region, the Hunter Valley. It also offers a wide spectrum of activities, from golf courses to spas and some of the countries finest accommodation. On the coastal side of the valley is Port Stephens, where cruising in the bay, watching the local dolphins or beach walking are favorite pastimes. For those who enjoy good food and wine and superb scenery the Hunter Valley is not to be missed. If you add this to your Wish List we will incorporate this region into your suggested self drive vacation.
