The Walking Trails of Tasmania

Visitors to Tasmania are often drawn to the wonderful guided walking tours that are available. Here we feature four of the best, all of a high standard, professionally organized and accessing some of the most beautiful scenery in all of Australia. From the calm and secluded East Coast, to the mountainous regions of Cradle Mountain, to the remote Maria Island, these are walks that will appeal to those who love the beauty of the outdoors.

This 4 day walk and the Cradle Mountain Hut Walk are considered to be two of the finest walks in Tasmania and quite possibly all of Australia. The magnificent wilderness coastline known as the Bay of Fires invites you to experience its dramatic landscape, ecology and wildlife. Led by well-informed, young Tasmanian guides, small groups can explore both the fascinating beach environment and the rich diversity of the nearby woodlands. And at the Bay of Fires Lodge, the only building in this near-unknown wilderness paradise, both solitude and comfort are guaranteed.
