The Wildlife of Kangaroo Island
Here is an island 96 miles long and 34 miles wide, literally crawling with native wildlife, all of it in the most natural and stunning of natural environments. If you want to see koalas, seals, echidnas, platypus, goannas, wallabies and kangaroos there is no better place in all of Australia than Kangaroo Island to see them all. Because of its isolation, half of the native bushland on Kangaroo Island remains just as it was when named by British navigator Matthew Flinders in 1802. More than one-third of the Island is National or Conservation Park. The other attraction of the island is its astounding natural beauty with secluded bays and forest walks waiting to be discovered.
Choose from the following
Self Drive
A 90 minute drive from Adelaide takes you to Cape Jervis where you board the Sealink ferry for a 40 minute crossing to the Island. Alternatively take a 30 minute flight from Adelaide Airport and pick up a car on arrival. If you add this to your Wish List we will include a 3 day self drive itinerary that includes the main highlights of the island. Most roads are sealed, a 4WD is not necessary and fuel is widely available. The best way to explore Kangaroo Island is to have your own vehicle to explore at your leisure.

Sealink Guided Tour
This two day personalised deluxe tour explores Kangaroo Island in the comfort of a specially equipped 10 seater tour coach. Wildlife, spectacular coastal and bush scenery, 4 star accommodation and quality meals with Kangaroo Island wines make this a high value experience not to be missed. Highlights include accommodation with breakfast, dinner and wines, gourmet lunch on both touring days, a sheep shearing demonstration, Andermel Marron Farm and Two Wheeler Creek Wines (with tastings)
