Travel South to Margaret River and The South-West
Towering forests, endless miles of white sand beaches, world class surf, fine food and the wineries of the Margerat River make this region especially attractive. The South-West is ideally suited to those who enjoy self-drive holidays and if you add this to your Wish list we will add a suggested 4 day South-West schedule to your suggested itinerary. A huge draw for scuba divers is the Swan Dive Wreck. Many small towns throughout the region provide a warm welcome.
Choose from the following
Valley of the Giants 'Tree Top Walk'
The one hour drive south of Perth travels through stunning sections of karri forest, the world's third tallest tree, before reaching the Valley of the Giants. The Tree Top Walk, is a 1300 feet long elevated walkway constructed through the canopy eventually reaching a height of 120 feet. The views of the forest below are sensational and bird watchers will be delighted with the opportunity to view native Australian birds close up. For those not confident with heights, a wonderful walk on ground level is available through the Ancient Empire, a remarkable pocket of Tingle Forest. These wide girthed trees, goblin like in appearance can grow up to 5 metres in diameter at the base.

The Margaret River
With over 80 wineries this is a great place to enjoy premium Western Australian wines and great food. World class surf breaks are found along the coast. Other recommended activities are a visit to Mammoth Cave where ancient fossils are found and explore local art galleries. The magnificent Caves Road coastal drive is a highlight and for a sweet treat visit the Chocolate Factory and Candy Cow.

Bunbury
Just 2 hours south of Perth is the port of Bunbury, gateway to the South West. Bound by white sandy beaches and mangroves teeming with wildlife, it is a cosmopolitan town with cafes and galleries. The Dolphin Discovery Centre is a must-see, you will even have the opportunity to swim with the dolphins.

Visit Albany on the Southern Coast
Albany is a five hour drive from Perth, a town with a dramatic convict history, set against a backdrop of rugged granite coastline, green seas and a wild beauty that tugs at the heartstrings. Step back in time and explore convict jails, old taverns, whaling ships and settlers' cottages and grand National Trust homes in beautifully landscaped grounds. Discovered by Captain Vancouver in 1791 and settled in 1826, around 50 colonial buildings have survived - now housing museums, art and craft galleries and restaurants. Albany is known for its natural attractions along the rugged coastline of Torndirrup National Park.
