Eastland is the most isolated region of the North Island which gives it a special appeal, a charm and an atmosphere that is quite distinctive compared to any other region in New Zealand. It is a place of picturesque small towns, sheep farms and sunshine, a place with scores of beautiful beaches and bays and where the feeling is 'laid back'. Visit the Eastwoodhill Arboretum
